Cheats

CONTINUE GAME FROM LAST STAGE
Collect the Hudson Bee from World 1. Then hold LEFT + START after game ends to
continue playing from the last stage.

EXTRA ITEMS
Enter "0894" as a password for 99 of each item.

KEEP WEAPONS WHEN GAME ENDS
In Area 3 of the first island, after you pass the first frog, climb up one edge
and down another. Turn around where you land and shoot with your dinosaur or
throw axes at the invisible egg. Next, jump and the egg will reveal itself.
Break the egg and you will warp into a room where the friendly dragon gives you
the Hudson Bee. With the Hudson Bee, you can keep all your weapons when the game
ends.

WORLD SELECT
At the Title Screen, after Higgins is hit by the coconut, press RIGHT, LEFT,
RIGHT, LEFT, A, B, A and B.

The Story & Controller

Hudson's Adventure Island

Game Story:  The Evil Witch Doctor has kidnapped Princess Leilani from
             Master Higgins and taken her to Adventure Island in the
South Pacific. It is your mission to help Master Higgins and save Princess
Leilani, but it's not going to be easy. On the island, there are forests,
mountains, caves, many enemy characters, and traps waiting for you. Can
Master Higgins save Princess Leilani from the Evil Witch Doctor?

Control Functions:

Control Pad: moves Master Higgins left and right

A Button: Master Higgins jumps

B Button: shoots weapons or push while running
          to make him faster

Energy Level:  Master Higgins' energy level is displayed on top of the
               screen.
The level will decrease as the time passes by.
By catching the fruits on the screen you will be able to add a little bit of
energy back or get a bottle of milk to fill them all up. Of course, loosing
all energy means the game is over.

Power Up Items

About the game: At the beginning, Master Higgins has nothing with him.
                As he explores the island, he will find eggs that turn into
bonus items such as axe, skateboard, flower, milk, honeygirl, etc. to power
up Master Higgins.
However, there is an item which won't help Master Higgins but will lower
his energy level rapidly. All together there are 8 areas and at the end of
each area awaits the BIG BOSSES.
You must destroy them to advance to the next area.

Stone Axe: Use "B" button to throw them

Skateboard: Will move you faster but can't stop

Flower: Doubles the points of energy fruits

Milk: Fill up the energy of Master Higgins

Honeygirl: Make Master Higgins invincible for a while

Eggplant: Master Higgins' most unfavorite food. Takes energy
          away from him rapidly.

There are many hidden items or stages/Find them by exploring the
Adventure Island!

"Continuing Option"

You can access this "Continuing Option" by pushing the right side of the
movement control button and the START button. However, you are only
allowed to use the "Continuing Option" after finding an egg which contains
the BEE somewhere in Round 1 of Area 1.

Frequently Asked Questions

continue: There is a hidden egg on the ledge just before the end of the
level. Open it, take the bee inside, and when you die, hold Right and hit
Start to continue where you left off.

A more-or-less complete listing of bonus rounds:

1-1, section 3: Stand between the fourth and fifth totem poles and wait for
the platform to appear.

1-3, section 2: Look for the key egg right on the ledge just before the
dropping platform. Once you have the key the platform lifts you to a
bonus level instead of dropping.

2-3, section 2: The key egg is on the stone section right after the "2" sign.
After that, the third platform lifts you to the bonus level.

3-1, section 2: pass the two frogs and jump down two more steps to a long
flat area. Run around and toss your weapon around and eventually the
platform leading to the bonus area will appear.

4-3, section 4: Jump to the third ice-tower, and jump to find the key egg.
The next moving platform takes you to the bonus area.

5-1, section 1: The key egg is just before the cloud platforms, and the
last cloud platform then takes you up to the bonus area.

6-2, section 1: Jump over the rolling boulder and then wait around for a
little bit for the bonus platform to appear.

8-1, section 3: Stand in the area between the rock with the hidden pot and
the egg with the eggplant inside.
