Hold Z and press R, L, A, B at the Difficulty Selection screen.

SPEED MARATHON

Now proceed to the Marathon, at the Speed Selection. You can set the
speed as far as 99.

UNLOCK ALL TRAINERS IN TWO PLAYER MODE

Simultaneously hold L + R + Z on both controllers at the Trainer
Selection screen.
