1. Introduction

===============================================================================

In Police Quest I, a police officer named Sonny Bonds was given the case of
finding a dangerous man named Jessie Bains. Along the way, he met Marie, and
together they travelled to the Hotel Delphoria to find and capture Bains, the
Death Angel. At the start of Police Quest II, Sonny discovers that Bains has
escaped from jail. Determined to have his revenge, Bains kidnaps Marie and
takes her back to his hideout. This excellent adventure game involves Sonny's
adventures as he leaves the city of Lytton and flies to Steelton, where he
faces his final confrontation with Bains.

2. Walkthrough

LYTTON STATION
==============

At the start of the game, "get keys" from the ignition. "Open compartment" and
"get card". "Open door" to exit the car. "Open door" to enter the
station. Walk
through the door at the left side of the window to enter the locker room. Walk
to the left locker at the top-left corner of the room and "open locker". "36".
"4". "12". "Get ammo". "Get gun". "Get handcuffs".
"Close locker". Exit the
locker room. Walk to the right side of the room and "open bin". "Get kit".
Continue right to enter the shooting range.

Walk near Ken and "ask for ear protectors". Walk into the booth and stand near
one of the free tables to view the target. "Wear protectors". "Adjust gun".
Press up or down to adjust the elevation screw, and press left or right to
adjust the windage screw. "Load gun". "Raise gun". "Shoot".
"Lower gun". Press
"View". If five points are not scored, "replace target", "press back",
and
continue to adjust and shoot the gun until the sights are aligned. "Exit" after
running out of ammo. Exit the booth and "get ammo" from Ken. "Load gun".

Exit the range. Walk through the right door at the left side of the room to
enter the homicide office. Walk to Captain Hall's desk and "look papers" to
find three passwords. Walk to the desk at the back of the room and "look
board". "Get keys". Walk to the filing cabinet at the bottom-right corner of
the room and "open cabinet". "Bains". "Get mug shot". "Drop
file". "Close
cabinet". "Sit" at the desk in the middle of the room. "Unlock drawer".
"Get
letter". "Get wallet". "Close drawer". "Look basket".
"Stand".

"Look computer" at the bottom-right corner of the room. "Turn on computer".
"CD". "Criminal". "CD". "Vice". "Miami".
"CD". "Personnel". "Pistachio". "DIR".
Select the file on Pratt, Lloyd. "Exit". Exit the office. Walk through the
bottom-left door to the narcotics office. Walk to the man at the bottom-left
corner of the room and "ask about investigation". Exit the office. Exit the
station. "Open trunk" of the car at the top-left corner of the car park and
"drop field kit". "Close trunk". "Unlock door" of the car. "Open
door" to enter
the car. "Drive to jail".

JAIL
====

Walk to the lockers at the left side of the door and "open locker". "Drop gun".
"Close locker". Walk to the right side of the door and "push button". "Show
ID"
to enter the jail. Walk to the window and "ask about car". "Ask about Saxton".
Walk left to enter the interview area and "ask about escape". Walk to the
jailer and "get Bains file". "Get mug shot". "Drop file". "Get
Pate's file".
"Drop file". Exit the jail. "Open locker". "Get gun". "Open
door" to enter the
car. "Drive to mall".

OAK TREE MALL
=============

Walk to the back of the top-left car and "open trunk". "Get kit". "Close
trunk". Walk to the car at the bottom-right corner of the area and "open door".
"Dust compartment". "Use tape on compartment". "Open compartment".
"Get
bullets". "Get holster". "Close door". Haines will bring a woman over who
says
that her car has been stolen. "Ask about car". "Open trunk" of the car at the
top-left corner of the area and "drop field kit". "Close trunk". "Open
door" to
enter the car. "Use radio". "Drive to cove".

COTTON COVE
===========

Walk to the jogger and "ask about blood". "Draw gun". West. Walk left, and
"shoot" as soon as Bains appears in the area. Press F8 to put the gun away.
East. "Open door" to enter the car. "Pursue Bains" to arrive at the airport.
"Open door" to enter the car. "Drive to cove". Walk to the blue car and
"open
trunk". "Get kit". "Close trunk". West. "Move garbage". "Get
clothes". "Look
tag". "Look blood" at the top-left corner of the area. "Use camera".
"Get
blood". "Get footprint". East. "Look in wallet" to find the scuba diving
certificate. Walk up to Moore and "dive in river". Enter the van.

"Get belt". "Get fins". "Get mask". "Get suit". "Get
tank 1" and "Look tank 1"
to read the gauge. If it doesn't display 2200, try another tank. "Get vest".
"Exit" the van to enter the river. Swim to the right side of the rocks in the
middle of the area and "get badge". West. Swim to the middle of the area and
"get knife". East. East. Swim to the rocks at the right side of the area and
"move rock". "Look body". "Get body" to exit the river. East. East.
Walk to the
phone and "call coroner". "Open trunk" of the car and "drop kit".
"Close
trunk". "Open door" to enter the car. "Drive to airport".

LYTTON AIRPORT
==============

Walk to the blue car and "open trunk". "Get kit". "Close trunk". Walk
to the
black car at the bottom-right corner of the car park and "look car". "Open
door". "Look number". "Dust mirror". "Get print". "Close
door". Walk to the
blue car and "open trunk". "Drop kit". "Close trunk". "Open
door" to enter the
car. "Use radio". "Open door". North. "Push button" on the post. Cross
the road
and "buy rose" from the woman. Enter the airport. Walk to the bottom-left
corner of the area to enter the bathroom. Walk to the middle stall and "open
door". "Open toilet". "Look tank". "Get revolver".
"Exit".

Walk to the dryer and "turn on dryer". "Dry revolver". Exit the bathroom. Walk
to the top-left corner of the area to find the car rental agency. Walk to the
woman behind desk and "show ID". "Show mug shot". "Ask for list".
East. Walk to
the woman behind the desk and "show ID". "Show mug shot". "Ask for
list". Exit
the airport. "Push button" on the post. South. Walk to the blue car and "open
trunk". "Drop kit". "Close trunk". "Open door" to enter the car.
"Use radio".
"Use radio". "Drive to station".

LYTTON STATION

"Open door" to enter the station. Walk through the right door at the left side
of the room to enter the homicide office. "Sit" at the desk in the middle of
the room. "Use phone" and dial "555-4169". "Sonny". "Yes".
Press Escape to drop
the phone. "Stand". Exit the office. Walk to the window and "give evidence" to
John. Exit the station. Walk to the car at the top-right corner of the car park
and "open door" to enter the car. "Drive to Arnie's".

ARNIE'S RESTAURANT

Enter the restaurant. "Sit" at the table near Marie at the top-right corner of
the room. "Order food" from the waiter. "Give rose to Marie". "Kiss
Marie".

LYTTON STATION

"Get keys" from the ignition. "Open door" to exit the car. "Open door"
to enter
the station. Walk through the right door at the left side of the room to enter

Walk to the back of the blue car and "open trunk". "Get kit". "Close
trunk".
Walk to the back of the green car and "look trunk". "Use camera". "Look
face".

"Get note". "Exit". Walk
to the blue car and "open trunk". "Drop kit". "Close trunk".
"Open door" to
enter the car. "Drive to 753 Third Street".

753 THIRD STREET
================

Walk to the manager of the motel and "show ID". "Show mug shot" to find out
that Bains has stayed at the motel. Walk to the car and "open door". "Radio or
backup". "Radio for warrant". "Exit". "Get warrant" from the man.
"Show
warrant" to the manager. "Ask for key". Walk to the back of the car and "open
trunk". "Get kit". "Close trunk". Walk to either side of the door to room
108
and "open door" to avoid the explosion. Enter room 108 after the gas has
cleared. Press F8 to put the gun away.

Walk to the bathroom at the back of the room and "get card" from the sink. Exit
the bathroom and walk to the north side of the bed. "Get lipstick". Walk to the
south-east corner of the bed and "get blood". Walk to the south-west corner of
the bed and "open drawer". "Get envelope". "Read envelope". Exit room
108. Walk
to the car and "open trunk". "Drop kit". "Close trunk". "Open
door" to enter
the car. "Drive to 222 West Peach Street".

222 WEST PEACH STREET
=====================

"Get note" from the door. "Read writing". "Open door" to enter the
house. "Get
paper" from the ashtray at the right side of the room. Exit the house. "Open
door" to enter the car. "Drive to station".

LYTTON STATION
==============

"Open door" to enter the station. Walk through the door at the right side of
the window to enter the burglary office. Walk to James at the desk in the
middle of the office and "ask about burglary". "Ask about prints". Exit the
office. Walk right to the shooting range. Walk into the booth and stand near
one of the free tables to view the target. "Wear protectors". "Adjust gun".
Press up or down to adjust the elevation screw, and press left or right to
adjust the windage screw.

"Load gun". "Raise gun". "Shoot". "Lower gun". Press
"View". Unlike earlier,
five points are not awarded for aligning the sights. "Replace target", "press
back", and continue to adjust and shoot the gun until the sights look aligned.
"Exit" after running out of ammo. Exit the booth and "get ammo" from Ken.
"Load
gun". Exit the range. Walk to the window and "give evidence" to John. Exit the
station. "Open door" to enter the car. "Drive to airport".

LYTTON AIRPORT

North. "Push button" on the post. Walk across the road and enter the airport.
Walk to the man behind the desk and "buy ticket to Steelton". "Buy ticket to
Steelton". Walk to the top-left corner of the area to find the car rental
agency. Ride the escalator up to the second floor. Walk to the metal detector
and "show badge" to the guard on the other side. Walk through the tunnel to
enter the plane.
