Legal Stuff
You know the drill, don't copy anything in this text without asking
(unless it's only one level you wish to borrow), and don't post this
on your site without asking either. You can copy it for personal use
however, as long as you then don't sell it as your own.

Units

Example layout:
(name of unit)
(Game's description of unit)
(Stats)
(My description)

Land only units (excluding transport)

Ant
The ant is a fast walker, and can throw bombs farther than the pill bug.
Attack 6. Defence 3
One of the most common units, ants are fairly decent troops. They can
carry weapons, which makes them even better.

Assassin bugs
This stealthy bug can pass undetected through defensive perimeters and deliver
one powerful blow.
Attack 2. Defence 0
These units are no good at general fighting, but can deliver an incredibly
powerful first strike, which also makes the enemy dizzy, allowing other units
to safely inflict even more damage. Make sure you don't use them for regular
fighting however, you will regret it.

Cockroach
A very strong defender, the cockroach is also immune to poison and
harmful terrain.
Attack 6. Defence 7.
Really good overall units, you'll want your armies to consist of tons
of cockroaches. Unfortunately, the enemy seems to get more then you
do.

Commander
A commander gives attack and defence bonuses to friendly bugs within
his command radius
Attack 6. Defence 5.
Commanders are often useful for raising your troops morale, helping
them to inflict more damage and to take more damage. They often have
specific names such as, Winston Anthill, Adolf Antler, etc.

Flea
A fast walker who can make short jumps, the flea is a weak fighter.
Attack 4. Defence 7.
Weak and way too common, at least the fleas have a good walking speed
and a decent defence.

Grasshopper
The grasshopper is a very powerful jumper with a moderately potent
attack but is a very weak defender.
Attack 8. Defence 1.
Great for supporting battles and grabbing food quickly, the grasshopper
is a fairly good unit. Just one thing though, NEVER let them be attacked
first by another unit, they will die very quickly.

Jumping spider
A weaker jumper but a stronger defender than the grasshopper, and the
fastest walker of all.
Attack 8. Defence 4.
Another decent unit, I use them to get to places quickly where they
can defend it until the other units arrive.

Medic ant
The medic ant can heal injured bugs, but needs energy to do it. Medics
do not fight at all.
Attack 0. Defence 0.
They can't heal during battle like the medics on Starcraft(TM), so
I feel that they aren't all that useful. The only good thing is that
they can help bugs health regenerate faster.

Pill bug
Pill Bugs can throw bombs (though not as far as ants). They are tough
defenders, and are immune to explosives.
Attack 7. Defence 7.
Pill bugs are great overall units like the cockroach. They may not have
much health, but the fact they can use weapons and are immune to
explosions makes up for it.

Praying mantis
This bug has an extremely powerful attack, and can overwhelm any bug
except a rhinoceros beetle.
Attack 16. Defence 5.
One of the best units, you had just better be careful of their moderate
defence. Their health can sink surprisingly quickly.

Rhinoceros Beetle
The most powerful fighter of all, the rhinoceros beetle walks at the
same speed, regardless of terrain.
Attack 16. Defence 7.
THE best units, they have a crapload of health, can shrug off bombs,
and have a really damaging attack to boot! In any other game
they would be classed as 'heavy infantry/tanks.' This means that they
don't travel too fast and are rather rare, but you'll love the levels
where you get them!

Spider
This bug is the only unit that can attack multiple bugs simultaneously.
It is the most effective against a crowd of enemies occupied with
another unit.
Attack 14. Defence 4.
Due to the rarity of these units (except for the enemy), the only thing
I can say about them is that they are good when you get them.

Stink bug
As long as it has energy, this bug can break wind, confusing foes.
It is immune to cheese bomb fumes, and turns into a cheese itself
when killed.
Attack 4. Defence 2.
A poor overall unit, I use them for distractions and to slow down
the enemy. If the enemy has set up a cheese barricade, these guys
can travel through them very quickly.

Flying units (excluding transport)

Bee
The Bee is a strong fighter with superior range, and makes an excellent
long range bomber
Attack 13. Defence 4.
Another great overall unit, you'll find you mostly use them for bombing
raids, but don't forget that they have a good attack.

Lightning bug
A moderately good fighter, the lightning bug is a stronger fighter than
the mosquito, but weaker than the bee.
Attack 10. Defence 3.
Another rare unit. I usually use them for food raids or to help my units
in fighting.

Mosquito
The mosquito is the fastest flier and has a sharp bite, but is a weak
defender
Attack 8. Defence 2.
Not much to say about these guys, except that they are really good for bombing
raids (and helping your units fight).

Robber fly
This bug can steal bombs from enemies, but can carry only one at a
time. It is the only unit that can disengage from battle.
Attack 4. Defence 2
The fact that they can steal bombs is great, the fact that they can
only carry one at a time is not so great. Whenever these units appear, make
sure you steal as many bombs as you can and do as much
damage as possible with the bombs you get.

Wasp
The wasp is the most powerful fighter of all the fliers.
Attack 15. Defence 6
Watch out for wasps, they are deadly. They especially like to bomb you
then attack your weakened units. They are just a more powerful version
of the bee, plus they look cool too.

Water units (excluding transports)

Diving beetle
Of the bugs that can cross water, the diving beetle is by far the best
fighter.
Attack 15. Defence 6.
A little slow, even when crossing water. Their good health and attack
levels make up for that though.

Water bug
This bug is a weak fighter that walks slowly on land but very quickly
on water.
Attack 4. Defence 2.
Apart from being able to grab food quickly (as long as there is a trail
of liquid leading to it) these guys are useless. Even fleas can defeat
them! AVOID USING IN BATTLES UNLESS NECESSARY.

Transports

Moth
The moth can aerially transport one other bug (except for rhinoceros
beetles and other transports).
Attack 2. Defence 1.
If they could drop any bombs they would have been so much better.
Unfortunately, they are weak, and slow both to fly and to walk. The
one good thing is that they can get slow units to their destination
quickly.

Water boatman
This bug can cross water while carrying one another bug (except Rhino
beetles and other transports). It has a reasonably strong attack.
Attack 10. Defence 4
Slow yet powerful, these guys are mainly used to get units across water and to
help in difficult fights. Not much else to say really.

General tactics

Sometimes I will mention certain 'moves' that you can use against the
enemy to swing the battle in your favour. If my walkthroughs aren't
working for you, try using combinations of these to help you win.

Pincer attack
Using at least 2 bugs, have them approach the enemy from the sides
and attack. This tactic is best when you are trying to kill a
particularly stubborn enemy.

Ganging up
This is a simple tactic that involves you getting a large group
of your units to attack a single or small group of enemy units.
This tactic is often VERY successful, as long as your units don't
get stuck. Try setting your units in a 'U' shape for an even
more successful attack.

Group war (aka survival in numbers)
Have your units go into a large group and make their defence radius
rather large, so they can gang up on people. Great for some levels,
not so good for others.

Defence first
Seen in the level Gang of two, put your unit with the highest
defence rating in front of the battle line so it gets attacked
