Shotgun Guys: They're just as weak as the Zombiemen, but more tougher on offense. Any weapon will do, and these guys will take you down fast on high skill levels. First found on Level 2, Underhalls. You can at least take their
Shotgun they drop when you kill them.

Heavy Weapon Dudes: A new enemy in Doom II, and these are really annoying.
They first appear in Level 3, the Gantlet, and their Chainguns kill! Their
Chainguns can take you down fast, but you can take them once you kill them. Use at least a Shotgun to kill them, and don't hesitate to kill these things or you're dead.

Imps: Small as the Shotgun Guys, but a little less tough, but harder to kill.
If you're close to them, they can scratch you for attacking. If you're not, they will throw fireballs at you. First found on Level 1, Entryway. Any weapon powerful than the pistol can do, and the fist is good if you got a Berserk.

Demons: These are gorilla like monsters on two legs, strong on both offense and defense. They bite you for attacking, and their bites are powerful. They are also VERY fast on Nightmare. A weapon powerful than the Pistol can kill him quick. First found on Level 2, Underhalls.

Spectres: These are the same as the demons, but these ones are nearly invisible. Use the tips I used for taking down a Demon. First found on Level 3,
The Gantlet. Spectres like to appear in dark areas, so if you don't have Light
Amplification Goggles, or you can't see in the dark too well, then you may be killed by one of these, so if there is 1 attacking you in the dark and you can't see it, have your mug on your status bar show where it is (it will look in the direction damage comes from).

Lost Souls: The most annoying enemy in the game. They are little skull heads on fire that flies in the air, and at least a Chaingun or a more powerful weapon can dispose of these. They are pretty harmful at attacking (they bump into you at a "charging" speed). First found on Level 5, The Waste Tunnels.

Cacodemons: They are the other enemy that floats around in the game. They are round and red, and then breathe fireballs at you for attacking. Chainsaws, and anything powerful than a Shotgun can dispose of these. First found on Level 5,
The Waste Tunnels.

Hell Knights: These look like Barons of Hell, but these are brighter in color.
Even on hard skill levels, these are still powerful, but not as much as the
Barons of Hell. Use at least a Super Shotgun to kill these things. First found in Level 5, The Waste Tunnels. Like Barons of Hell, they throw fireballs and they scratch you for attacking.

Barons of Hell: Like Hell Knights, but these are a lot more tough and powerful.
Use at least a Rocket Launcher to get rid of these things. You can first find these enemies in Level 8, Tricks and Traps. They throw fireballs and they scratch you for attacking.

Arachnotrons: Like Spider Masterminds, but these are much smaller. They are small spiders and they fire plasma gun bolts at you for attacking. When these are walking, you'll hear their walking sound effects. Use at least a Super
Shotgun for these. They make an awesome death sound when these die. First found in Level 7, Dead Simple.

Pain Elementals: Now these are what you call annoying. These look like
Cacodemons, but these are brown. They don't attack you, but they do release
Lost Souls from their mouths to get you. Use something powerful to get rid of these quickly, such as the Rocket Launcher. First found in Level 8, Tricks and
Traps.

Mancubus: Another new enemy in Doom II. These enemies walk around on two feet, and they launch missles from their hands to attack you. Use at least a Super
Shotgun to get rid of these. Their missles are powerful, so watch out, but these are a nice fat and wide target. First found in Level 7, Dead Simple.

Revenants: One of the most annoying enemies in the game. These are fast and they walk on two legs, and they have two types of attacks on you. They can either punch you when they get close, or launch missles at you, either homing or non-homing. A Super Shotgun or better can take care of these quickly. First found in Level 6, The Crusher.

Arch-Viles: One of the most dangerous non-boss enemies in this game. These are skeleton like enemies on two legs, and their attacks are powerful. If these are around and you see fire on you, run out of the Arch-vile's sight so he can't see you (and he can't hit you either). Use a Super Shotgun or better. First found in Level 11, Circle of Death.

Cyberdemon: A very tall goat on 2 legs (1 is metal), that fires rockets at you for attacking. Your best options are the Rocket Launcher and BFG 9000. Using
Alt to strafe is a great strategy for staying alive. He will be first found in
Level 8, Tricks and Traps.

Spider Mastermind: She is a huge spider with a huge brain exposing, and she attacks with a Super Chaingun. You can at least stand a chance with a Rocket
Launcher and a BFG. She will be first found in Level 6, The Crusher.

Other Items
***************

Health Bonus: Adds 1% health to your health. You can go over 100% health collecting these, but you stop at 200%.

Armor Bonus: Adds 1% armor to your armor. You can go over 100% collecting these, but you stop at 200%.
Stimpack: Adds 10% health. You cannot go over 100% using these.

Medikit: Adds 25% health. You cannot go over 100% health using these.

CombatArmor: Sets your armor to 100% if it is below 100%.

MegaArmor: Sets your armor to 200%.

Soulsphere: Adds 100% health. You can go over 100% health using this, but not over 200%.

Backpack: When you pick up a backpack for the first time, it doubles your ammo capacity, adding ammo as well. It does add ammo when you pick up other backpacks. But if you die, you lose your backpack.

Berserk Pack: A very useful item. If you are below 100% health, this will set your health to 100%. Better yet, this upgrades your Fist, and makes it very powerful, and can dispose of most enemies quickly. Also, the screen will be red for about 10 seconds, but when it goes to normal, it doesn't mean the effect whore off. This effect lasts until the end of the level you got it from, or when you die.

Computer Area Map: Picking up one of these gives you a full Automap (no object indicators though). In the Automap, areas you haven't explored are mapped in gray. Areas you've already seen are red. This effect lasts until the end of the level you got it from, or until you die. Watch out, some levels have 2 or more
Computer Maps, and you can only pick up one of them (and that means you can't get a 100% items score).

Radiation Suit: When you pick up one of these, the screen will go green until the effect wears off. When you pick up one of these, the effect is that you won't get hurt in toxic slime. The effect will wear off on a time limit.

Light Amplification Visors: When picked up, the brightness greatly increases for an amount of time. These goggles are useful for getting pack dark areas/mazes.

Invisibility Sphere: Picking up one of these makes you "invisible" for a short amount of time. You aren't completely invisible, these make it so it's harder for enemies to spot you, and when they attack, they may miss you.

Invincibility Sphere: When one of these are picked up, you are invincible for a short amount of time, and the screen will go white while the effect lasts. A very good item, pick them up if you can.

Megashere: A new item in Doom II, and this is one awesome power-up. Once you pick one of these up, both your health and armor will go up to 200%. Use these when you're at low health.

************
Key Items
************

Keycard/Skull Keys: Found in levels, these keys come in 3 colors: red, yellow, and blue. Not all keys are in all levels, so keep that in mind. These keys open a locked door, activate certain switches, etc.....

Also, many of the doors are not 100% blue, red, or yellow. If the door has red, yellow, or blue lights to the sides of it, that's also a red, yellow, or blue door. There may be a level with a Yellow and Red Key, but you may not need the
Yellow Key to complete that level (that sentence right there is made up, just giving you a little example of that some keys in a level might not be needed to finish that level).

6. Things to Look Out For
==========================

What I mean is that watch out for these things. They can hurt you, depending on what you do. Some can be useful, so will not.

Barrels: These can be your best friend, or your worst enemies. These are scattered around many levels, and can help you a lot. To make very good use of these, lure a lot of enemies to one barrel, and shoot the barrel. It should explode, and hurt/kill the enemies near it. Or if you shoot the barrel when you're right next to it, you'll be hurt/killed. Even enemies can blow up barrels, so you can use them to blow them up and save your ammo.

Crushing Ceilings: Crushing Ceilings can appear at a nasty time, so watch out.
Just like Barrels, these can be your best friend or worst enemy. These ceilings fall from the ceiling and touch the ground, and rise back to ceiling, and so on. You'll need to time your moves right to get past these. Also, their good use is that Crushing Ceilings can also crush and kill enemies, saving your ammo. But they can crush you too, and these do hurt.

Slime/Lava/Blood: These appear on floors. Slime is green, lava is a mix of red and yellow, and blood is red. Whenever you step on these kinds of floors, there is a good chance your health will decrease each second. The amount of health decreased depends on your armor and what kind of toxic floor you stepped into.
All types of toxic floors cannot hurt enemies, sadly. You will not be hurt from these floors if you step on them while having an active Radiation Suit on.

7. Walkthrough
===============

First, before you start, you must pick the episode, and then your skill levels.
Here are the skill levels, and some other notes about the game:

Skill levels (from easiest to hardest):

I'm Too Young To Die (Skill level 1)
Hey, Not Too Rough (Skill level 2)
Hurt Me Plenty (Skill level 3)
Ultra Violence (Skill level 4)
Nightmare (Skill level 5)

Beware the Nightmare skill level. It is not for inexperienced Doom players.
Enemies respawn, monsters are fast and powerful, but the good thing is you get double ammo when you pick up ammo, and you can get a kill percentage over 100 too.

What I mean by double ammo is this: For example, when you pick up a box of
Shotgun Shells on skill levels 2, 3, and 4, it will add 20 shells to your
Shotgun Ammo, and 40 in skills 1 and 5. ID Software knows you'll need the double ammo in Skill 5. ;)

Hint: Try to "telefrag" enemies. A telefrag is when you teleport using a teleporter, and an enemy is on the spot where you teleport to, he will be killed like that, without using any ammo to destroy it.
