Hey there. nm14 is here to create yet another FAQ, and this time it is for
3D Pinball. I noticed that there were few FAQs for this game, so I decided to share a little bit of knowledge with you guys. I will try to do my best to give you some strategies and information regarding the game. Let's get on with this
FAQ, shall we?

Hey everyone. This is the e-mail policy portion of this FAQ. I am going to list what I believe to be "acceptable" or "unacceptable" e-mails. Of course, it would be very wise of you to correctly e-mail me if you are hoping for a response. Also, if you have made a mistake when e-mailing me, it is very likely
I will block you so that you cannot send me any more messages. So, now that you all know what will happen if you incorrectly e-mail me, you have to find out what is acceptable and what is unacceptable. Please read below.

Do you have information that we have not covered in this FAQ? Well, read below.
If you happen to know something in the FAQ please e-mail me. I am always interested in adding information from readers, but there are a few exceptions.
If this FAQ is NOT labeled "Final" as its version, your added information may not neccessarily be used. I could possibly already know your information, but have not gotten to that section yet. So, do not guarantee that I will post your comments just because you were nice enough to e-mail us.

Now, for a little more about an "acceptable" e-mail, let's talk about the subject of the e-mail. I get a lot of e-mails about other FAQs that I have written, so I can easily miss your e-mail unless you identify it. So, in the subject line, please include the words "Pinball FAQ" in your subject line. This makes it a lot easier to sort things out in my e-mail. If you do not refer to what game you are commenting/asking for help on, I will most likely ignore the entire e-mail.

The last aspect that we would like to talk about is reading the FAQ. If you are in doubt, check around the entire FAQ before coming to us for direct help. It is likely that information is in other parts of the FAQ, and not neccessarily the part that you are looking at during that very moment. Any comments that are already answered in this FAQ will simply be ignored and blocked, as I have taken a lot of time to write this guide for you, you can do a little something for me as well.

If any of the above guidelines are not followed correctly your e-mails will be considered "unacceptable" and I am sure you know what that means. I personally think that it will be simple to follow the guidelines, and you will not have to worry very much about the process. Thank you, again, for your cooperation.

Welcome to the control section of this FAQ for 3D Pinball: Space Cadet. If you are having trouble locating the controls, look below. Also, the following controls are all default when you start the game. You can change the controls by simply going to the OPTION menu and scrolling down to the Player Controls sub menu. For starters, the FLIPPERS are the things that actually hit the ball located at the bottom middle of your screen. You can also tilt the table to make the ball go in a certain direction. Finally, the PLUNGER is the gadget that pushes the ball up to start your game. Now, onto the controls...

Left Flipper..................................................................Z
Right Flipper................................................................./
Plunger...................................................................Space
Tilt Left.....................................................................X
Tilt Right.............................................................(period)

Remember, you can change the controls at the menu that I described above. These are only the controls that you start out with (and I must say that they are probably the best controls you can come up with) when starting a new game.

THE GOAL
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When playing this game you are basically trying to achieve the best possible score by completing certain missions. You are also trying to move to the next highest rank. One of the best ways of getting the highest possible scores is to get extra balls. This is basically giving you another chance by allowing you to shoot another ball. You have a total of three chances to get your highest score. Once again, you will have many opportunities to gain extra balls.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MISSIONS
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do gain the maximum amount of points you are going to have to do certain missions. In your lower right hand corner of your screen you will notice the words "Hit Mission Targets to Select Mission." These targets are located on the left middle of the screen. There will be an arrow pointing directly at the targets, and you are to get a ball to hit one of those targets to begin the mission. Once you hit the target, a new message will appear that will tell you to Launch on the ramp to accept the practice. Here are some of the possible missions.

1. Hit 8 Bumpers
-----------------
To complete this mission you are going to have to hit eight bumpers. The bumpers can be located at the top middle (3 bumpers), top left (1 bumper) and the left of the screen (3 bumpers). Once you hit eight bumpers you will complete the mission.

2. 3 Re-Entries
----------------
To complete this mission you are going to have to run over 3 Re-Entries. A Re-
Entry is a small dot that lights up yellow when you run over it. There are six total Re-Entries, three are located at the top of your screen. The other three are located in the alcove section on the left. Run over three to complete the mission.

3. White Flipper
-----------------
This mission can be completed at any time. This means you do not need to hit a mission target to do this. If you look at the top right you will see a white flipper that leads to a small section that heads up. If you can hit the ball into this white flipper area you will receive a lot of points.

4. Launch Training
-------------------
To complete this mission you are going to have to hit the ball into the ramp 6 times. I seem to beable to do this consistently, so you might want to try to them all in a row. They can be difficult to simply do them separatley.

5. Alien Menace
----------------
Upgrade all of the bumpers and hit them 12 times. To complete this mission you are going to have to hit 12 bumpers. The bumpers can be located at the top middle (3 bumpers), top left (1 bumper) and the left of the screen (3 bumpers).
Once you hit eight bumpers you will complete the mission.

6. Rescue Mission
------------------
Upgrade the flags and then hit the white flipper that I talked about above. You have to hit hte Hyperspace key to complete the mission.

7. Bug Hunt
------------
Hit 15 targets found all around the level. You will gain 750,000 Points if you complete this mission.

8. Space Radiation
-------------------
Light up the left bank and then hit the ball into a wormhole. There are two on the right side of the course (one near the bottom and one near the top). You will gain 1,000,000 Points for completing this mission.

9. Stray Comet
---------------
Light up the right bank and then hit the ball past the white flipper to the
Hyperspace bonus point to gain 1,000,000 Points.

10. Black Hole Threat
----------------------
Upgrade the Launch bumpers to the green level. Then hit the Hyperspace point right past the white flipper.

11. Satellite Retrieval
------------------------
Hit the bumper at the top left of the screen five times to receive 1,250,000
Points.
