Publisher THQ has announced that next chapter in the Company of Heroes series, called Opposing Fronts, is Gold and will be launched in North America at the end of this month.
The game was developed by Relic Entertainment and includes two new armies and their respective single player campaigns, better multi-player modes and weather effects and support for DirectX 10.
The sequel to the first person shooter FEAR, in development at Monolith studios, will be distributed by Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment.
Vivendi is currently the owner of the name rights for FEAR but Monolith studios can use the characters and the game universe to create the sequel.
Infinity Ward studios have announced that the first-person shooter Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare will be available in retail stores starting from the 5th of November, 2007.
The game will be released for PC and Xbox360
Kevin Levine, the creative manager of Irrational Games, has confirmed through an email addressed to the Level Up website that their first-person shooter Bioshock is Gold and will be launched on the 21st of August, 2007.
According to Buka Entertainment, Targem Games are currently working on a new driving-action game, called Sledgehammer.
The players will be able to use a truck, which can be customized along the campaign with various weapons, armors, nitro's and other upgrades.
Up to eight players will be able to play the game in coop or deathmatch multiplayer modes.
Electronic Arts şi NAMCO BANDAI Games America have announced that the action role playing game titled Hellgate: London will be released on the 31st of October 2007 in USA and on the 2nd of November 2007 in Europe.
The game is currently developed by Flagship studios.
Virgin PLAY studios have announced that they will launch a real time strategy game in November, titled Crusaders: Thy Kingdom Come.
The game is currently in development at Neocore studios and its action will take place during the first Crusade, allowing players to reach known locations, such as Jerusalem and Constantinople.
According to MMO Gamer, the second expansion for the very popular MMORPG will be called World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King.
More details will be revealed at the Games Convention 2007.
Ubisoft has announced that they will release Far Cry 2 in the spring of 2008.
Far Cry 2 will continue the first person shooter Far Cry and is developed by the Ubisoft studios located in Montreal.
The only detail known at this moment is that the game's action will take place in Africa. More details will be released on the October's edition of PC Gamer, which will be available starting with the 21st of August.
GSC Gameworld studios have announced the launch of the STALKER: Clear Sky game in the first half of the next year.
The game will be a prequel to STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl and the action will take place before the one in the original game, when Zone is much more agitated because of a war between Stalker factions.
Also, in this prequel, the anomalies will be much stronger, much more active, and the environment will be more responsive.
The players will be able to help one of the existing Stalker factions if they wish, in order to conquer important territories or destroy the other factions.
