VARIOUS HINTS

¯ Middle Boss:
Fulfill all the following conditions to let the middle boss appear:
- No "Time Over" has occurred
- Not over six "First Attacks" by the CPU
- No three or more "Special KOs" by the CPU
¯ Hidden Bosses:
Unlock the hidden bosses by defeating them. To fight against them, you must fulfill two out of the following three conditions:
- Obtain at least one "Finest KO"
- Obtain over 1500 GPS by the end of the game
- Defeat the Middle Boss (Geese or Bison/Vega)
Play with a Capcom groove to unlock Ultimate Rugal or play with SNK groove to unlock Shin Akuma.
¯ Custom Grooves:
Defeat a normal boss (normal Akuma or Rugal) to unlock the "Custom Groove" option. A normal boss appears by fulfilling 2 of the 4 following conditions.
- Obtain over 1000 GPS till the end of the game
- Obtain four or more "Special KOs"
- Obtain two or more "LV3 Super Combo KOs"
- Middle Boss has appeared
¯ Random Groove:
Press START at the Groove selection screen.
¯ Infinite custom groove:
Defeat all characters straight in "Survival Mode".
¯ "Boss Challenge" mode:
Unlock both hidden bosses (Ultimate Rugal, Shin Akuma), then hold X + Y and press START while highlighting arcade mode.
¯ "1 on 3 Tag Team" mode:
Highlight any fighter at the character selection screen and press a button.
Let the time run out and the game will start in one on three tag team mode.
(Not in 1 on 1 Battle Mode).
¯ Extra options:
Finish the boss challenge mode with no continues to unlock the "Extra Option".
¯ Extra color edit mode options:
Press START at the character editor screen to display more options on the left side of the screen.
¯ Victory quotes:
After winning a stage, hold START + FP to make your character say an opponent specific quote. Hold START + FK to talk with a team member.
¯ Music from "Street Fighter II":
Fight a match "Ryu vs. Sagat" in "Training Mode". Sometimes you will hear music from "Street Fighter II".
