-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Version 1.0 (5/13/02): For the most part, this FAQ is entirely complete! I
know I'm missing around 40 cars, but I am still trying to unlock them as I
type this. They are probably going to be opened by unlocking secrets, so I'll
add them if I find them; otherwise this FAQ is done!
Version 0.99 (5/9/02): All of the Professional Class information is added
here, making the Championship mode complete! I still have yet to unlock about
40 cars, so this guide isn't ready for a final marking just yet.
Version 0.7 (5/6/02): The entire Highspeed Class, along with all cars, parts,
and tracks up to that point are here! In the next few updates, I should be
able to complete this game/FAQ!
Version 0.5 (5/4/02): All of the Middle Class tracks, as well as the license
tracks of the Highspeed Class are included with this update! All cars,
tracks, and parts up to that point are here as well.
Version 0.2 (5/2/02): The first, rather empty version of this FAQ. The entire
Beginner's Class worth of tracks/cars/parts are in this first update, more to
come soon.

-= 2. Introduction -=
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
The second installment in the GT Advance series has just been recently
released in Japan. There are many things added upon since the previous
version, including many tracks, twice as many cars as before, more tuning
parts, and so on. The gameplay itself is just as tight as the first GTA game,
so if you liked the first one, chances are you ll REALLY enjoy playing this
one!

Championship
------------
Here, you can race in one of four classes (only Beginner is open early in the
game) against 7 other computer controlled racers. The first few races in each
class are license-qualifying ones, where you practice driving and such. Then
you play on 8 more tracks in each class, unlocking cars and parts along the
way. You must go through 3 laps on each regular track, and must place either
1st, 2nd, or 3rd place in order to progress. If you get 4th-8th place, you
lose. You also unlock one or more secrets if you come in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd
place; here's a quick list of what you get for each rank:
1st Place: New track, new car, new part
2nd Place: New track, new part
3rd Place: New track
4th-8th Place: Lost; win nothing
Quick Race
----------
This is more of a practice run for the Championship mode, since you race
against the 7 other cars, but it doesn't count towards/against you here. You
can only race on tracks you've already unlocked though.
Time Attack
-----------
Choose an already open track to race on, and try to beat the best records in
lap/total race times. You are all alone in this mode, so you can concentrate
on going quick instead of passing other vehicles.
Practice
--------
As the name implies, it's a practice mode! You're alone in a square arena,
and you can just ride around anywhere to practice with whatever car you
chose. You should select this mode first if you never played this game
before, so you can get an idea of how to handle racing.
Dri-Combo
---------
This is a rather interesting new addition to this sequel. Here, you go for 3
laps on an empty track with lots of turns. The idea here is to slide often
(drifting) around the turns and such to rack up combos. To the left of the
speedometer appears a "D" whenever you start to slide. When it becomes
totally red, you have successfully drifted. Before it totally fades, drift
again and you'll pull off a combo. This may be tough since after each turn is
a straight path, but if you can keep drifting side to side, you can rack up
some nice combos. Get practicing and you'll soon get the hang of it, then you
can rack up high combo amounts and unlock some goodies (see the Secrets
section of this guide for details)!
Extra
-----
In the start of the game, this option is still locked. If you see the Secrets
section of this guide, perhaps you can find out some extras you can unlock.
Link
----
Link up with up to 3 other Gameboy Advance units and participate in a race
against other human/computer opponents. I don't have much of any information
here, but if someone has played this mode and can send in stuff regarding it,
it'd definitely be appreciated!
Save
----
As the name implies, you can save your current data here.
Options
-------
View the best times for every track, adjust sound settings, and even delete
all saved data in this mode.
